Efren Peņaflorida

Having been born into a life of poverty with a tricycle driver as a father and a labandera as a mother, he continued on to earn an associate diploma in computer technology from San Sebastian College and a bachelor's degree in education from the Cavite State University. He credits this to the intervention of Club 8586, a Christian Group which helped guide him since he was young. To give back to society, Efren has formed the Dynamic Teen Company which brings classrooms and teaches children from poor neighborhoods by bringing in karitons with school supplies, books, and computers. Efren is also nominated in CNN's Hero of the Year.
